Amanda Trosclair is a lifelong resident of St. Tammany Parish and a proud graduate of Northshore High School. She has dedicated her legal career to serving the people of St. Tammany and Washington Parishes, building a record of excellence across criminal, juvenile, family, civil, and general jurisdiction matters. As a proven judicial leader, Amanda brings the experience, integrity, and courtroom leadership needed to serve Division G—where she has managed high-volume dockets and tried hundreds of judge and jury trials, including felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases.
Amanda is the only candidate with judicial experience, and she brings unmatched expertise in managing high-volume criminal, juvenile, and civil dockets. She has tried jury trials and hundreds of judge trials—including felony, misdemeanor, juvenile, family, and civil cases—and has heard thousands more as the trier of fact. As supervising attorney, Amanda led the juvenile, misdemeanor, and NonSupport divisions, all while handling a busy felony docket and felony jury trials. Her leadership and proven ability to manage complex caseloads are essential for Division G, where effective docket management can make or break a division.

In addition to her legal specialization and leadership training, Amanda has taught continuing legal education courses locally, statewide, and regionally, and has testified before the Louisiana Legislature on issues impacting youth and criminal justice. Her influence and advocacy have helped shape the legal landscape for children and families in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes, setting her apart as a leader who not only understands the law but also works to improve it for the benefit of the entire community.
Amanda’s commitment to justice extends far beyond the courtroom. She is the current President of the 22nd Judicial District Court Bar Association, Vice Chair and long-term board member of East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity, and President of the Junior League of Greater Covington. Her leadership includes service with the Slidell Women’s Civic Club, Good Samaritan Ministries, and Girls on the Run Southeast Louisiana. Amanda previously served on the Louisiana Support Enforcement Association (LSEA) Board and the 2025 Legislative Guidelines Committee, and resigned from these positions as required by her transition from hearing officer to judicial candidate.

She was voted Sophisticated Woman’s “Best Mediator” in 2018 and is known for her ability to bring parties together to achieve fair, lasting solutions. For nearly ten years, Amanda was entrusted by the 22nd Judicial District Court to serve as a Hearing Officer. She served as a judicial officer, hearing cases, evaluating evidence, applying the law, and issuing rulings and recommendations. That role requires the same core qualities expected of every judge: impartiality, fairness, sound legal judgment, and a steadfast commitment to ensuring that every person receives a fair hearing. Amanda will bring nearly a decade of that experience to the bench.
