Amanda Trosclair Announces Candidacy for Judge

22nd Judicial District Court, Division G

July 6, 2026 – Amanda Trosclair, a lifelong St. Tammany Parish resident, longtime attorney, registered Republican, and former Support Enforcement Hearing Officer for the 22nd Judicial District Court, has officially announced her candidacy for Judge of the 22nd Judicial District Court, Division G.

With more than two decades of legal experience and nearly a decade serving in a judicial capacity, Amanda brings a deep understanding of the courtroom and a proven commitment to fairness, efficiency, and professionalism. Throughout her career, she has presided over thousands of matters and gained extensive experience in criminal, juvenile, civil, and family law.

Amanda’s campaign is grounded in a simple belief: experience matters. She believes the citizens of St. Tammany and Washington Parishes deserve a judge who is prepared to serve from day one — someone who will treat every person with dignity and respect, apply the law fairly, and manage the courtroom with integrity and efficiency.

A graduate of Northshore High School, Louisiana State University, and the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Amanda began her public service career with the 22nd Judicial District Public Defender’s Office, where she represented clients in criminal, juvenile, misdemeanor, and non-support matters. She later supervised several divisions within the office and became one of the first attorneys in Louisiana to earn certification as a Child Welfare Law Specialist.

From 2016 until stepping down to run for judge, Amanda served as Hearing Officer for the 22nd Judicial District Court, where she presided over child support and family-related matters. Her legal career has been defined by service, preparation, and a commitment to the people of this district.

In addition to her professional experience, Amanda has remained deeply involved in the community through leadership roles with the 22nd Judicial District Bar Association, the Junior League of Greater Covington, East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity, the Louisiana Support Enforcement Association, Good Samaritan Ministries, Girls on the Run Southeast Louisiana, and the Slidell Women’s Civic Club. She is also a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany.

Amanda is ready to continue serving the community she has called home her entire life, and she would be honored to serve as the next Judge of the 22nd Judicial District Court, Division G.
